Overview: Preconstruction and Electrical Installation for New Manufacturing Facility

Meat snack company Jack Link’s opened a new $450 million production facility and brought in FTI for preconstruction and electrical installation at the new site. The team completed the core and shell build-out and installed electrical systems at the facility. They also installed the power and controls for the facility’s process equipment.

Challenge: Compressed Timeline and Scheduling Misalignment

The primary challenge of this project was managing a compressed timeline caused by scheduling difficulties. The pour sequence was not followed, resulting in disconnected progress. Additionally, misalignment in vendor installation timelines led to further delays and tight schedules in key areas.

Solution: Reducing Onsite Labor With Excellerate®

To address the tight schedule, the team utilized skidded solutions and Excellerate® assemblies to reduce onsite labor. FTI successfully delivered a high-quality project on time, meeting the contractual deadlines with over 50 team members.
